Begin with breakfast

The most important meal of the day is breakfast. For what reasons? There are numerous reasons. Firstly, it’s the longest gap or time span between meals, which throws everything off balance. Assuming you last ate today at 6 pm and won’t eat again until tomorrow at 6:30 am, that’s about 12 and a half hours. If you skip breakfast, this gap increases. You’re left with only 11 and a half hours to fit in all your other meals. Secondly, aside from the long period of time, breakfast falls during the part of the day when you’ll exert the most effort. For that, you need energy. So, another reason for breakfast.

At breakfast, you can indulge your cravings: Meaning, if something would normally cause you to gain weight but you still want to eat it at breakfast, now’s the time! Because you’re about to use that energy well! Your blood sugar levels are almost certainly at their lowest after breakfast. You’re then about to embark on your daily 7 or 8-hour routine. The next meal is again at quite a distance, making it the second longest time span between meals. For if you have lunch at 1 pm or 1:30 pm, you have a 5-hour interval, or 5 and a half hours. Then comes dinner, and now you understand why it should be the simplest and lightest. Because everything in the evening is the opposite of what we described at breakfast. Meaning, all the advantages disappear and it’s even the opposite!
