Stress Testing

When we talk about stress testing, we refer to determining a maximal or rather adapted effort for each individual, meaning that the physical exertion or exercise must be safe for each person. Life should not be put at risk through physical activity, and each individual has a different tolerance for effort, all with the aim of remaining safe. For this reason, we are obliged to test each individual very carefully to determine a physical effort that is beneficial and not harmful. For this purpose, we take into consideration several factors such as age, health status, medical history, level of previous activity or sedentary behavior, body mass, and the individual’s tolerance to effort.

Normally, everyone should start exercising slowly, step by step, to determine the level of physical effort that suits them, what they enjoy, and what type of exercise provides maximum benefit without complications but, most importantly, to be a challenge that encourages them to continue. Some love walking, others jogging, some prefer cardio, or cycling. All of these activities will be chosen and dosed after meticulous preliminary testing called stress testing.
