Fitness and physical exercise are important for several reasons. The first is that carbohydrates are the primary and most widely used fuel for the body. So, when we engage in physical exercise, the body begins to consume glucose from the blood, the most feared carbohydrate. By engaging in physical exercise, we decrease glucose levels in the most efficient and rapid way. This is a significant advantage from multiple perspectives.
Firstly, it lowers blood sugar levels, thus regulating them after a meal. The second reason is that by leaving the body with a small amount of glucose in the blood, it extracts glucose from its reserves, namely from the liver and skeletal muscles. Then, in the second phase, it begins to consume from the lipid deposits, meaning the fat stored around the body, slowly transforming it into the necessary glucose for future energy. In this way, we obtain two benefits: we consume the excess glucose in the blood through movement and slowly extract glucose from body fat, ensuring the optimal amount of glucose the body needs, rather than an excessive amount as is the case after a heavy meal.
Glycemic Flex’s mission is to distribute physical exercise precisely when needed to achieve maximum glycemic benefit, thus avoiding elevated blood sugar levels that harm us and slowly consuming adipose reserves little by little.
You don’t need to worry about the intensity of physical exercise. I assess the effort capacity ranging from high-intensity workouts like cardio, jogging, or any other sport you prefer, ensuring that the effort remains preferably aerobic. However, for elderly individuals or those who don’t prefer intense exercise, we also consider light forms of exercise such as yoga or even leisurely walking, aiming to achieve the desired goal of reducing glycemic effects. So, the type of effort, the type of sport, or their intensity are at the discretion of the practitioner. We are only interested in the body’s response.

Benefits
The benefits of physical exercise, as I mentioned, include lowering blood sugar levels after meals, adapting glycemic values to normal, reducing blood lipids which enter a new burning and consumption circuit as described above, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke, diabetes of course, and metabolic syndrome, but last but not least, detachment from daily problems during movement and a much more relaxed mental status due, not least, to the good hormonal variation that induces stress and anxiety.
